Rocker cover gasket

If I was to take the rocker off to paint would it be an idea to change the gasket at the same time, dunno if it's been removed before so don't know what state it would be in? Cheers

Always best to replace it. Even then they still tend to weep oil.

I put a thin layer of oil proof sealer round the seal aswell and its all good.

Yes would be a good idea mate make sure you use an Oem gasket aswell

Use VHT Heat paint mate will do the job

Ya can just use ordinary rattle can paint and primer never had a problem with any I done

Don't know how people get away with normal paint. Heat paint is better as it heats up it gets even more solid like power coating.

If I'm getting an OEM gasket for re-fitting the cover (and all 5 bolts and washers) - DO I ALSO NEED SPARK PLUG SEALS???

Same again while it's off it would be silly not to. To me it's safe practice if u take something off with a seal on it replace it

Unless it's leaking from the spark plug seals, or they looked damaged, I would leave them be, they are a pain in the arse to remove.
