Adam-Gt-
So yesterday I got my self a GT advance on test drive all was fine started to make my way home and notice that when I put foot down it would splutter and miss fire Also the temp gauge would go up and then settle back down and sit half way like normal it idles very high when it's warm first start it idles around 1200rpm then once warm gets up to 1500ish rpmAny ideas I'm thinking temp coolant sensor maybe at fault engine light doesn't come on at all either
5e colin
theres an issue there with your temp gauge going up !!! if the temp sensor was fucked she be rich as fuck !! whats your afr readings ?? the idle isseu is probly iacv or wax stat
Adam-Gt-
Unsure on afr as got no way of reading them Idle issue is strange as on cold starts it sits at normally 1200rpm which you would expect as auto choke would be on but then gets higher as its warm

Adam-Gt-
I'm still no further with this !! Found out it had no thermostat in so put one of those in also I notice a bad leak on the manifold as a stud was missing on the head would this cause it ?
patman
It's a leak mate but someone will definitely know the answer to that

Bug679
What was the problem ? Might help someone else out in the future 🤔
Adam-Gt-
The coolant hose from the cold start valve to the thermostat housing was blocked so no coolant was running through it to warm it up
