Looking to refresh my engine bay, has anyone found a paint match for 199 silver GT bay

As the title states my engine is out and I'm looking to refresh some areas where surface rust is starting to appear. The bay appears to be a pale grey primer colour from the factory and I want to maintain the originality, has anyone achieved a similar finish to this?

Try base coat with no laquer

I was thinking that but will it hold up with no lacquer?
