Backfire

Having a issue with my ignition, car was missfiring like all hell if you went to a certain rev about 4k revs. Bought a new king lead and coilpack which sorted the missfire, but its still making a massive bang if boot it and it reaches certain low revs capping out about 4k again. Im running a td04 with fcd and rising rate fuel. Could this be the result of a boost leak or timing out etc.

Sounds like fuel cut fcd not set up properly

fcd. get rid. get a piggyback or a P+P ecu.

It was working fine before the missfire started can they be knocked off their settings, im not very knowledgeable when it comes to this bought the car with the conversation done

had the same issue and it was the fcd that was faulty take the fcd off and put the boost back to standard and see what happens

you can also inspect/test/replace the usual ignition related items...plugs, spark wires, distributor, ignitor and the others you changed before
