turbo-fever Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Spec first I'm running bc coilovers nearly wound down all the way, 195 45 15 toyos on 15" buddyclub alloys 6.5j there is still about 3/4 between tyre and arch and dampening is set to about 24 clicks. When I was going round the ring and cornering to hard would make the tyres rub the arch ? Should I change spring preload ? And don't say raise it up lol I see a lot lower cars cornering without rubbing so must be a solution Quote
5e colin Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 get stiffer springs in there only option if you want to keep the lows Quote
turbo-fever Posted August 14, 2016 Author Posted August 14, 2016 Is there much weight difference between a 4e and 5e block ? As running 6kg springs at the front. What's everyone else running? Quote
5e colin Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 not that much no how much clearance is between your arch and wheel Quote
turbo-fever Posted August 14, 2016 Author Posted August 14, 2016 Wondered if it's because of the 5e and sorry there's about 3/4 inch Quote
5e colin Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 thats not much room if your under heavy load 15mm travel + - you could try to tighten the pre loads a bit up front Quote
turbo-fever Posted August 14, 2016 Author Posted August 14, 2016 Would that be compressing the spring more or less ? Quote
Starlet__SR Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Why not give yourself a little more ride height? That way you can let the suspension do its job more efficiently, better contact with the road too. Quote
5e colin Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Would that be compressing the spring more or less ? more as it will tighten up so drop less when compressed bit of art work as it wont be set first time doing it doo it first on drivers side to where it stops rubbing then do passo side to level the car again ....... will need to be aligned again Quote
Amjad Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Roll your arches and run a bit more negative camber, GT ones are a bitch Quote

Amjad Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 You have to also trim the arch trims, and then tigerseal it back. I didn't bother putting mine back onas the clearance is still tight Quote
