2 Warning lights have come on

Hi guys, not had my starlet gt that long as and I the battery warning light has come on last night Aswell as one that's looks like a rectangle with heat waves coming of it notsure what it is. Any ideas what it would be? car seams to get hot quicker and idles jut under 2k

In MR2 case this is always dead alternator, never had heard that Starlet have also that hot laying eight warning light.

Seen it before when the battery light and the Cat temperature warning lights come on, it's caused by a faulty alternator.

Best be looking for a replace my if you use the car daily.

Check the tightness of the alt belt
