Pete_A
aggghh this is driving me nuts, im trying to remove the front wheel off my car with no luck! is stuck fast, ive tried the usual kicking, shouting, hot water, big piece of wood and a lump hammer from the other side of the car, small piece of wood and lump hammer on the outer side, to no avail, im fukin annoyed, ive read of slightly loosening the nuts and taking it for a small drive but this seems suicidal to me, ive also loosened the nuts had the tyre on the ground turing from lock to lock. Any ideas?

Starlet__SR
Finger tighten the nuts, back them off 2-3 threads, put the car on the ground and rock it side to side. Also try giving it a little bit of a steer too. Keep the jack close under the sill should the worst happen. Worst case scenario, drive back and forth dabbing the brakes. If all else fails, hang your head in shame lol. Edited November 27, 2016 by Starlet__SR
SpikeyJp_68
Put extra pressure in your tyre ( not exceeding the max on the side wall) and go at it with a rubber mallet. Hit it on the outside, inside and the tread on full lock. After that I don't know. Best of luck with it and don't forget copper grease when putting it back on !!
