Ryan-4444
I have just forged my engine I will be starting it up tomorrow hopefully I have a td04 set up and during the rebuild bought a high flow fuel rail and 450cc injectors and a fuel pressure regulator how do I set the fpr up without starting the car and make sure it's safe I don't have a air fuel gauge do I need one? daniel_g
If youre engine hasnt been run in yet id put a standard fpr on.You dont want excessive fuel / bore wash on your new motor.Ideally you want it set up on a dyno with a wideband.
Ryan-4444
Ok cheers so I should run it in first with my old fuel rail and old injectors or will it be cool to keep the 450cc injectors in the old fuel rail?
TimD
It's the injectors that are going to cause problems without adjustments to your map.
daniel_g
People might tell ya different but id run it standard fuelling till its run in, then set it up after that.
daniel_g
Is it already mapped?
Ryan-4444
It's mapped but to my old set up on a ct9 hybrid at 1 bar maybe ill just run fueling standard till it gets mapped for new set up get them to do it
TimD
There was a thread on here about injectors recently which will go some way to explain what would happen if you'd fit higher capacity injectors without mapping.I'll be starting mine on standard injectors with adjustable FPR, but having fuelling checked before it gets used properly. Ryan-4444
Don't want to take any risks put far to much work into this rebuild Lol don't want nothing to go wrong so I'm thinking putting it back to standard till mapping as I have no wide and gauges

Boost gauge? I'd defo put it all back to stock run shell super fuel or tesco 99ron. I would be buying gauge's before anything else!
Ryan-4444
Yeah got boost gauge lol just not air fuel mixture
