Wossner pistons specification sheet

Recommended Posts

there not al going to be same each sheet if specked to a set of pistons

get your machinist to measure them before he bores block he will bore each 1 then to the piston spec and mark the pistons

yeah i know that the bore is supposed to be the specified piston size ---which included a 0.07mm or 0.0027" clearance.

i'm talking about the ring gapping, ring alignment, etc specs

http://www.wiseco.com/PDFs/Manuals/RingEndGap.pdf

like how we have that for wiseco

anyone? ..i'm referring to the installation informaiton---like ring gapping, etc

http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/52242-how-to-build-a-5e-fte-engine-5e-conversion/?hl=%2Bwossner+%2Bpiston+%2Bspecs

i found a little on this tread, but not all

All i can tell you that there are 2 set

one if the old and provide you §BAD SERVICE from WOSNER and the other is the more known

.... 3 set of WOsner pistons and still get the oil problem ...;my other car is a mazda and i swap to JE PISTON and they are better ...

i found this, but i find it strange that both the top and 2nd ring gaps are the same 0.006" x bore

isn't the top ring gap usually a little tighter tolerance wise then the 2nd ring gap----maybe like 0.0055" x bore OR 0.005" x bore ???

anyone with this kind of experience/knowledge?

I would expect a larger clearance on the first ring because it's closer to the piston crown, ie maximum heat and therefore would close up more under higher pressure and temperature.

No harm in running the same clearance on both rings.

Clock the ring gaps 90 degrees apart.

Follow that spec for ring gap

Unsure on piston-cylinder clearance, this depends on what it's going to be used for, can run tighter if it's just a street motor, but something that's constantly at high rpm will require larger.
