WARNING TO MANCHESTER/NORTH WEST ROAD USERS

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Please read this below:

Dear Manchester Business Continuity Forum Member

Further to enquiries from some members, we thought it would be worth a quick email to notify those of you that might not be aware:

There is expected to be a 'go slow' protest by a large number (1000+ is the current estimate of organisers) of motorcyclists to coincide with rush hour tomorrow (Thursday 5th June). The protest is scheduled to start at 8.00am from Birch Services on the M62 near Middleton. Disruption is expected to the M62 and M60 and roads into Manchester, with the organisers planning to enter Manchester via Salford Quays. The organisers are hoping to be joined by other motorists en route so the extent of the disruption is obviously hard to predict . Commuters are therefore being advised to allow extra time for their journey - particularly if travelling by car/bus.

Best wishes.....

Angela

Im at the office in Mancehster city centre and they are now in the city as well. There is hundreds of bikes, cars and trucks just crawling through the city. Sounds mint though as all the bikes are revving really loud!! ;)

is it me, or M60 is a motorway... motorways are fast, if you tank up behind a bunch of bulbs going 20... something is gonna come of it.

i await to see things in the paper about how many crashes there were today.
