I had this idea and it's been bugging me so...

Some people (me included) don't like the look of carbon fibre on cars that are in light colours such as white.

It seems that carbon fibre would be expensive, and then once painted, it wouldn't show off the carbon fibre anyway.

Is fibreglass much heavier than CF, and as a rough estimate, how much would it cost for a fibreglass bonnet for an N/A EP91?

lots of people make FRP bonnets.

the cruise bonnet for example is FRP, varis also make their bonnet in FRP.

so do JAM come to think of it.

basically, there are lots. and there weight isnt really that far out tbh.

Oh nice, got any links to/or pictures of these Rick? I had a quick look on google but only came up with Glanzas.

And do they make them for the N/A aswell?

ah... youll have a hard time finding anything racey for the ep91 mate. there just isnt a market for them.

your best bet for an NA bonnet. is to have the metal skin on the oem bonnet made in frp, then bont it back into the oem frame.

could have a nice neat little air intake worked in aswell.

you wont find an off the shelfer though. they just dont make em as far as im aware.

That's what I thought, would have to get one made up.

Air intake thing sounds good, maybe some vents aswell, wouldn't want something that stands out too much though.

Well it's something to look into in the distant future, could try to get a few made up for a group buy or something.

It would atleast give us N/A boys a change, or for the ones who have done FTE conversions.
