JackStar
Hi, will the Magnecore 8.5mm leads be ok for my N/A starlet (not worried about the price of them compared to the 8mm ones), or will they be to much for my engine? Thanks Jack
ste91
I don't know about the Magnecore ones, but if you want a cheaper alternative the NGK ones are great. Cost about £30-£40 I can't quite remember.

Mikey Jay
Decent ignition leads don't add power as such, they stop you losing power through having poor ignition leads really. So any gain you feel is what you should have had to start with reallyThink i haven't explained it very well, but hopefully you'll get the gist of that? Rich
It mainly to do with how modified you engine is, a high comp n/a needs a smaller gapped plug than a standard one to ensure the mixture is ignited. But then you lose the rate at which the mixture is ignited as less is burned during spark.Thicker HT leads can transfer the required current to run a bigger gap for a faster burn.Thats how I understand it anyway.
