idle

my car is idleing above 1000 revs and 1.2 to 1.3 depending on the weather and how long i have been driving. i noticed when i first put my front mount on it was idleing just inder and since then has rose after about 4 months of having the front mount.

is this a problem i should be worrying about.

before i touched the engine with a decat and front mount it was spot on.

any suggestions to why this has happened would be mucho apreciated

the idle control screw could have come loose, its happened to me before.

give that a wee check before anything else.

seen as its started to happen since you have fitted ya FMIC i would check all your boost pipes and also maybe adjust your idle control valve and see how it goes...

and where id the idle controll valve.?

is it just a case of winding up or down ?

so im guessing that it cant be an engine probem?

its just a screw on top of your intake you srew either down or up to adjust

what else could it be as its ussually when its not warmed up properly.

could some one post a pic of the idle controll valve cause im having the same problem and need to get this sorted out

if you look on top of the inlet mani next to the throttle body there is a plastic black circle thats pushed in a hole. pul this out and the screw is hidden under there
