I must say that he has handeled this situation very professionally and has done what a lot of traders probably would of not.I would of rather have bought a broken Speedvision turbo that a Kitaro one, thats for sure. ecksjay Posted August 10, 2008 Share Posted August 10, 2008 gee, you dont release a product into mass production after testing it with only 4 units.Turbo R&D takes alot of time, and alot of money in R&D, hence why aftermarket hybrids from other manufacturers (Blitz K1, HKS GT series etc) are so expensive. The unit themselves dont cost much to produce, its the actual development that went into making sure they'd work as intended for longer than a week, you get what you pay for.To sell units based on testing only 4 examples is absolutely obsurd. It would be acceptable if it was like, a bolt in part that didn't do much mechanical work, but a turbo is a very complex unit when you start messing around with the internals, to ensure they're reliable for a prolonged period of time takes far more than 4 units and a few months, many of the top manufacturers spend alot of money on research.It's why alot of 'home brew' hybrids tend to last shit all time, the research just doesn't go into them.It seems he's trying to sort it out but the mistake really shouldn't have been made in the first place, hopefully he'll manage to come to a resolution though (at immense cost i expect, although labour etc in USA does tend to be quite a lot cheaper than here).Good luck to anyone who bought one, hopefully it'll get resolved soon.
