DavidAshton Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Got TRD Coilovers on the car at the moment and they are harsh as hell defo not suited to british roads. Anyway was looking to see what damper setting they were on to see if i could soften them up a bit, at the back they are on number 1.....Now is number 1 the hardest or softest setting? Also i believe the fronts are adjustable too but cant find anywhere to adjust them, mine have cusco top mounts so i cant get to the top of the damper where i presume the adjuster is....? Anyone know for sure?ThanksDavid Quote
ecksjay Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 if they're overly firm then they may have popped matey, check if they've been leaking or show signs of oil stains etc. Quote
DavidAshton Posted September 15, 2008 Author Posted September 15, 2008 Ive checked for leaks, oil marks and there still shiney yellow with no leaks. Im sure they will go soon enough though, they just seemed to get so hammered on these roads....so 1 is defo the softest yeah? Quote
Spoonz Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 mine are 3 on the fron and 6 on the back seems to work okBut then thats stil hard there adjustable on the top on the fron 1s they have 4 settings Quote

I can seem to find anything? As i said mine have cusco adjustable top mounts, will they be stopping me from getting to where i need to be?Thanks Quote
SiCaln Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 in the engine bay look at the top of the mount and see if it has a little slit for a key with 1 thru 4 on it Quote
ecksjay Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 ye its the bolt in the middle, the top mounts wont have any affect on the shocks adjustability, it'll be directly in the middle of the top mount, going down through the strut. Quote
