Hi all,

I need some advice : Basically I am having some sort of miss through something spark related. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be? Are there any common faults that I dont know about?

I have had the spark plugs changed, and although it calmed down a bit, I still keep getting the miss when putting my foot down.

Any help is much appreciated

Is there anything pushing against the distributor?

This would cause one of the leads to be misplaced causing a temporary loss of spark/misfiring.

I had it happen to me with my induction kit.

Peace

And its a good time to say this - please post anything like this in EP Technical please Speedfreak and not general :)

You have sufficient posts to suggest you should at least know where to post.

Cheers & Enjoy the site.

No I don't think its anything to do with the battery.

How much would it cost for each of these?

HT leads

Rotor arm

Distributor Cap

Around £30-£40 for half decent leads, but if you go for Magnecor or whatever they're called they're something like £70?

Dizzy Cap is around a tenner

Rotor Arm - I have a brand new one for sale, I bought it thinking the FE/FTE rotor arms would be the same lol, they're £17 from Toyota IIRC

What was the problem in the end Speedfreak (whats your nickname by the way?)

Its just so that other people may benefit from your solution if they ever had a similar problem.

Thanks
