help needed on starlets!

Recommended Posts

hi guys and girls. Im 19 years old. 2 days ago i got my provisional license. I am now thinking about my first car. At first, i wanted a 306. then i wanted a 106 quiksilver. But ive ruled them all out. They dont compare to the starlet glanza!

i would really love to have a glanza S as a first car. I live in london. Can anyone give me an idea of rougly how much insurance would cost for me. 19, living in london (barking&dagenham), no years NCB. Assuming i just past my test, how much would insurance cost for a glanza S? (i know that glanza is problematic because it does not have a insurance group).

I do realise that it will vary for each person. but i see that some of you lot are paying £900-3000 on insurance.

ive went through moneysupermarket.com for a quote for a starlet SR(which im told to buy this instead). I have been quoted £1600 or so, for third party.based on the fact that i drive 10,000miles a year, and its kept parked on the road.

so can anyone help me out on how much a glanza S might cost for insurance?

because the way im looking at things. If i cant afford to insure a glanza S, i will resort to looking for a starlet SR. If i cant find an SR, im going to try and look for a 106 quiksilver <_< if i cant get that, ill buy any old banger(though i really want a glanza S)

Insurance is a major determinant of what first car i choose to get. What kind of quote do you reckon i would get from an insurer if i asked for a quote for a glanza V? and what do you reckon i would get for an S?

The way i see it, if i could get insured for around the same price as an SR for a glanza V, i would go for a glanza V. however, if i cant, then ill just resort to the SR

Doubt you would get insurance on a glanza V, not until uv got a bit of NCB behind you anyway.

If they do insure you it will cost about 3 grand more than an SR thats for sure!!
