moss600
after a week joyful ridin I wan boost my car up.I have done exhaust and air and boost gauge so far.I am after a dump valve and manifold and boost control?but de question is which 1? and which 1 is first ?wat prob should I look 4?how much improvement i will get?so many ques!!! sorry this is my first turbo charge carthanx in advance
paulgtt
depends on how much you want to spend really. hks and blitz make good boost controls and awesome sounding dump valves but are quite costly.turbo xs and turbo smart are also good.might want 2 think about a fuel cut defencer as well if your going 2 be upping the boost. dump valve will give you the noise(if its atmospheric) and reduce lag.boost control does what it says on the tin but wud prob recomend an in car electronic one,as you can adjust it as an when you like.front mount intercooler will be a big help as well, heat soak is a big problem especially with summer coming up! i would go 4 dump valve first, then boost controller with a fuel cut defencer.prob de-cat and front mount after that....if you still have the money!hope thats some help to you
moss600
Thanx very much, you been very helpful. I will go 4 dump valve first because I like the noise. I turned the cat 2 decat by knocking out the filter, but will get a proper one. What brand of boost controller and what kind of dump valve do you recommend? How much power would I get after all this? Cheers, Moss
Guest Enzo
before doin anything have you tried the hi low boost mod yet?it takes the low boost limiter in hte first two gears that you might have discoveredclickyjust open up your bonnet and replicate the pic, should put a smile on your face if you have not done it already....if you can aford a hksssqv plump for that but blits is also another quality brand, with a boost controler your limited to the amount of boost you can turn up due to the top mount among other things

lobotomy
When your engine management light comes on it means something is wrong. Ok so now you need to go out to your car and;Go into the engine bay and open the fuse/diagnostic box (little black box on the left-hand side of the engine bay) And the underside of the lid will show you the pin layout.Bridge pins TE1 and E1 (with a paper clip or bit of wire)Turn ignition on (but don't actually start the car)The engine management light will start to flashIt will flash say 4 times **** then a short pauseIt will then flash say once * This means error code 41 ie. Idle speed probThe management light will then start flashing another error code (they may be more than one fault) or have a short pause and repeat the same code over againThen refer to the list above or the diagram below to see what the error is-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hope that helps mate
