keirz Posted November 16, 2008 Share Posted November 16, 2008 a hybrid ct9 is modified to increase the turbos performance. ie, bigger and better designed compressor wheel, bored out intake size, bigger or cut back shaft. sometimes a 360 thrust bearing for longer turbo life. bigger wastegate to help with boost creep issues. thats it in general, called a hybrid as its made up of parts from more than one turbo.
