Sparky
Unless your exhaust and inlet mani gaskets are broke I wouldnt bother replacing them, they are metal so should be fine
BAZ2CRAZY
So, on with the rear suspension.after a good blast with the pressure washer, the arch was clean.awkward nut, couldnt get s socket on there,so resulted in using a ring spanner and a 2lb lump hammer....it worked whats missing?greased up and fittedjust after fitting the right side....oh and i fitted some ladders too.and finaly..I do think i need the adjustable rod as the axle seems to have shifted to the left by approx 1 cm, although it may be me seeing things but im convinced.also when cornering, the rear right seemed to dip more than the left. felt a lil weird.also, anyone know whether i have PAS?
Sparky
Some 15s will fill the arches nicely now No you dont have PAS hence my first post saying your engine bay couldnt get anymore basic, plus you would know if you had powersteering
BAZ2CRAZY
oh thats good then, i want to save loads of weight on this project so thats kind of a good thing.Im thinking either GT3's or Grids. grids would be in bronze, but im not sure about the gt3's. as the wheels i put on this will have to look good on my next car. . . . a GT.Edit:after reading the rota:yay or nay? thread...i do not wish to spend my money on shit!although they make nice looking wheels, i dont want to hit a pot hole and my wheel fall off. So,any suggestions for some jdmz wheels of similar styling?thanks.mitch
Galliano
looking alot better my man! love the headunit (i have the same )
BAZ2CRAZY
cheers!as for the headunit, il be swapping it for my kenwood out of the colt. similar spec,i just prefer the kenwood.am i right in saying the front speakers are in the dash? also, what size are they?my cables have been chewed by the previous owners dog. . . great! so the speakers dont work atm. Galliano
iirc they are like, in the panels by the side of the glovebox, and by your right knee when driving.i would think they are 13cm ones the same as the Paseo
Rich
10cm ^^ nice job on the suspension reminds me of the fun I had doing mine, damn overtight nuts...
Sparky
they are 10cm LOL your wheel wont fall off if you hit a pothole, Rota's arent as bad as the "JAY DEE EMM" guys make out Im on coilovers and had 40 profile tyres on my 16s and they had a hammering but all of them was straight as the day they were made when I sold them
BAZ2CRAZY
cheers lads, well thats good to know then sparky. Its just the rota rant was very convincing.i just dont want the worst of the worst to happen, especially if im to put them on the GT.still abit curious as to why the n/s rear is higher than the right. . . . panhard?
Galliano
actaully bud, would you be interested in selling your headunit once you have your new one in? as mine is kinda broken a little bit with the face of it, so could do with a new one - would be perfect as i do like the subtle style of it aswell as the X-Plod setting.. standard speakers can pump some good bass which is a suprise to say the least.thanks manSam
BAZ2CRAZY
id love too... but im swapping headunits from the car i have for sale on ebay at the moment.mitch

Galliano
Nice updates man! The Speedlines look sexual in that colour - its something near gunmetal im presuming? They look richer than silver
BAZ2CRAZY
cheers, the speedlines are standard dude:)i would like them done either in this colour;http://aycu30.webshots.com/image/48189/200...73364566_rs.jpgorhttp://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c261/jskiddo/te2.jpg

BAZ2CRAZY
hehehe MINE!Not liking the takata green?I still need to buy some tyres, struggling to decide what profile to go for on a 195 tyre, either 50's or 45's? (the spare has a 45)tyre recomandations?i can see my self going for T1r's again, but open to suggestions:)
Sparky
Kawasaki green ftw I ran 50 profiles, 45s looked lost in the arches plus 50s are comfier when riding on coilys Wouldnt go for T1R's again though I found them quite shite tbh Prada spec 2'sd im going to try next
BAZ2CRAZY
I thought they might look a lil small, but i didnt want to compromise looks for feel/drivability. i dont mind bumps Il have a look at your build, (for the tyres in arches etc)I cant fault the T1r's imo, apart from they wear quite fast, i will have a look around for some others. Are paradas rated quite good?
Idrees
I think the Speedlines would look awesome on yours in Gunmetal Grey. Also, looks like your rear springs are fitted upside down? Unless they fit both ways?Looking good though mate.
