Mart
Sounds like a FCD or equivilent...
WallaceGlanza
Yup a JAM FCC,means the fuel cut limit is raised however to be safe you could still do with some form of after market fuelling if you're running over the original fuel cut level (12.5psi ish). Dan Evans
well I've bought an after market fuel pressure regulater and now looking at an hks fuel rail. will that do or some more??
WallaceGlanza
well I've bought an after market fuel pressure regulater and now looking at an hks fuel rail. will that do or some more??Yeah the fuel regulator will be sufficient but you need it setup and the fuelling checked using a wideband on a rolling road, the fuel rail does nothing except look pretty... Guest Enzo
do you have a boost gauge, what is it boosting too now?
Dan Evans
im new to the turbo scene, it goes up to 1 bar on high boost, and 0.5 on low boost, dat good or bad?? cheers
Mart
Depends really mate, Are you still rollin on the standard exhaust manifold? What other mods do you have bro? Mart...
Dan Evans
yeah it is standard mani and cat, but im lookin at gettin both uprated.spec so far...Kakimoto racing exhaustsamco hosing lowered 40mm on tein springs with trd shocksapexi Filterjust bought rrfpr and looking at hks fuel rail and oil catch can and fmic
WallaceGlanza
I reacon it muct have a jam actuator too if you're boosting 1 bar. Running that much boost isn't really a good idea on the stock mani and stock intercooler, and especially with no fuelling mods.
Dan Evans
ok, I've been looking at a new manifold and de cat.will i need to uprate the intercooler??? i have been looking at a fmic anyway.
Dan Evans
ok, o if i get a rrfpr and fuel rail and bigger injectors, with a new mani and decat, should that do the trick???
Mart
First step is to get a new Exhaust Manifold. As said above the last thing you want is to pop piston no3 especially with the restriction in the stamdard mani. Then sort out your fueling.
Driver
cars come in with jam actuator and jam FCC is there a sticker on the middle of the ECU saying "JAM" on it aswell ??also if it itsnt a JAM ECU 1st thing ide sort is fueling as ide rather pop cylinder 3 then run leanmy advice take it steady untill you get fueling and mani, or port mani out atleast
Dan Evans
no it aint a jam ecu, im looking for a decent manifold, anyone got any ideas<< also im going to gut my cat rather than buy one for now, then get it on the rolling road and get the fuel reg on.
