Dan Evans
its more than likely a easy answer ( or a stupid question) what is the difference between the two and which onr is better for a manifold?cheers
Kara GTT
Stainless steel! The diff is i think you get a better sound out of the SS and its longer lasting MS rust easy
ste91
SS cracks easier though doesn't it?
montanajr
Yeah if its made out of rubbish grade stainless steel or crap welds. Search about mate, lots of pros and cons of both.
Dan Evans
i really dont know mate, i would like to know though as im soon going to be buying a manifold
montanajr
Stainless will eventually crack; even if it is well braced. Mild steel is stronger and less prone to cracking but the inside of the runners could rust and bits fall into the turbo BUT if I had to buy a mani, it would be mild steel as you don't have to worry about it cracking and can heat wrap it safely AND If I had lots of money to spend I would buy a race coated mild steel mani - like SPS sell.
