I cant see it doing any damage really, just burning oil. and i plan on doing the 4efte conversion in about 6 months.

i would do it but i dont really want to have time off work incase it takes longer than a w/e.

i just cba with the valve compressing etc etc

Looks like my spark plugs/dizzy cap/rotor arm did a good few months ago before I serviced it. Mine was slightly lumpy on idle but I didn't have the lumpy acceleration like you do.

Replace the lot mate, you already have new HT leads so just get spark plugs/dizzy cap/rotor arm, and depending on how long ago the oil was last changed have it flushed out and oil changed.

But those plugs look fucked lol no wonder it's not running well.

Might aswell get the rolla mani on there aswell while you're at it, you will notice a BIG difference doing all that lot at the same time.

Try new plugs first. if they foul up quickly, you have an issue, but your plugs at the moment look WELL shagged! :p

Oh an Baz, my car was a 200sx. It was a UK car with the CA18DET.

I don't know shit about Nissan S cars, but wouldn't that make it a 180SX?

rubix: oh is it? i thought it was jdm. either way, nice as foook!

and yeh i laughed when i saw the plugs hahaha, replaced them today, already ironed out some of the lumpy acceleration, so im definatly on the right track with the problems being 'ignition caused'.

As for the rolla mani, i think im going to rebuild the the head with new valve stem seals, and while im at it, fit the rolla mani + alu pipe and filter.

its really drinking oil, Is there any way of know whwther its the rings or the stem seals that need replacing?

or would there just be sod all power due to the rings leaking.
