It's fucking crap. I've been out of work for ages because construction/building has gone shit.

I'm not going to write much more about it because I don't think people are too bothered about hearing someone elses story but put it this way if I had a full time job now even on as little as £6 an hour I could afford to buy and insure a GT in June.

just get any job, the company i work for are always looking for people to work in the factory etc, asda tesco and all that will most likely be looking for people as well! there are jobs out there, you just gotta find them

oh and ste i wish i could get a job paying £6 an hour

If theres no construction jobs....which there won't be, then you gotta go elsewhere even if it's maccy D's to get some cashflow. Get to the agencies... anything, once you are stuck in the rut of not having a job it's harder to get a job!

i've got my class 2 lorry licence so if i lose my job i will be in another job the next day near enough through agency work.

what you want to do is go down the joke centre ask how you go about getting a SIA license. they will then give you an apllication form to apply for an ILA voucher which you can use for the traning corse to get your SIA license. these are needed to become a security guard or door man etc. even though all the big companies are closing down they still need people to guard them

sorry for the long winded post

The whole thing is crappy at the moment for everyone.

And although my job isn't under threat (at the moment, touch wood) my parents are still finding it hard, which in turn makes things harder for all living in the house. We all have to do what we can to save money and help out.

I would imagine that goes for most households right now.

Some people aren't clued up enough to know how serious times are I guess!
