Remove all hub assembly, so you are faced with just the driveshaft and c.v joint in your hand, tightly hold the driveshaft with one hand, and with the other, shock the back of the c.v joint, with a copper hammer, you'll see it eventually start to slide off, once you're over the circlip, gentle taps will soon see it off, remove the old circlip, fit new one, position c.v joint on end of shaft so it sits square and the splines meet, fit the nut on the end just to protect the threads as a precaution, gentley tap it on, just so it seats on the splines, push the driveshaft all the way in so there's no free play, and take a few sharp hits to the end, you'll see it start to move up, keep doing so till you see the new c.v joint meet the raised section on the driveshaft. And don't forget the c.v boot of course:)
