RE-painting Wheels

Recommended Posts

Hey,

Firstly sorry if this is in the wrong place, no doubt Phil will move it later if it is.

Went out to re-spray a set of wheels I have for the car, but id re-sprayed them once before, but the laqure was crap and started to flake.

Now when i spray the wheels the whole thing just cracks and looks crap.

Do i need to strip the wheels right back and if so how?

Thanks

mark

mmmmmm, sounds like it reacted mate, always fun ^. Make sure you dust the primer on gently and build up coats slowly. Or itll just do it again. Its because of the thinner in the primer/paint you applied, its reacted with the thinner in the lacquer/paint you had on the wheel before.
