hey everyone

the recent spell of cold weather has highlighted that my genuine toyota battery is getting on a bit and is proabaly in need of replacing.

Now I've always wanted to upgrade to a really heavy duty battery such as the optima yellowtop batteries, but the otherday I was in halfords and saw that they have heavy duty batteries also.

Has anyone one here used or is using their batteries and what is your opinions on the batteries that hallfords stock?

cheers for any comments

Nic

Hey, i explored into getting the odyssey or red/yellow top...mines seems to have got better since but i read this review which kinda helped...look for one with higher CCA (cold cranking amps) which should help in the great british winters.

Thanx lads

Ya I've been looking into getting a yellow top battery alrite but they're big money so I may hold off till the end of the month (the OE battery should make it that far) when Ive to put the EP through its NCT (Irish MOT) as I need to done a few odds and ends to it first for that.

On a side note I checked my toyota battery and it has a CCA of 330, this does seem kinda low when compared to the batteries I was looking in halfords.

You love the halfords batterys :D every topic about battery's u mention them :D lol

Halfords battery's seem fine..bit expensive though..might b worth going to your local independent parts place (mine was less than half the price of halfords)
