  1. While I haven't done a conversion, its been playing on my mind for a while now. My reasoning is that if you enjoy your n/a and have an attachment to it fair enough but if you want power then by all means do the conversion. some people will list pros for doing it such as; owning a sleeper, completing a conversion to really learn about there car and its engine. increasing the car's power. getting over the inferiority complex of not having a front mount.... Some cons are as follows; the expense of the conversion parts themselves Increased cost of insurance. time and effort involved in doing t

  3. Well I went about fitting the brace yesterday. Happy to say its 90% on now, must just tighten up the bulkhead bolt when my bro gives me my sockets and stuff back Unfortunately it wasn't an easy fit or a direct fit. the metal of the end links was a little high and was catching on the frame of the bonnet when closing the bonnet. The Solution?? I got the my trusty persuader (the hammer) and beat a half golf ball size part of the frame in, in order to close the bonnet. Thankfully it doesn't appear to have damaged the profile of the bonnet so it's all gud. Results It does seem to turn in a sha
  4. Yeah it seems to be making a difference already. Yes they are expensive but until you've held one then you don't appreciate it properly, the welding is stunning and it's light as a feather. That was the plan for yesterday, but I ran out of time so I stioll have a little left to do. thanx Cheers boss

  6. Well its been a while since I did any work to the starlet other than driving the bollocks out of it, so with that in mind I though that it was long overdue sum TLC and mods more importantly. A few weeks back Starlet Nath started selling off the parts from his build, while I had always liked keeping track of his build I was suprised to see his build come to an end, But every cloud has a silver lining.....Nath was selling sum parts that I've always wanted namely a okuyama Carbing 3 point Aluminum strur brace. The brace in question is to my knowledge not very common, in fact correct me if im

In general im delighted with the service and parts, I would buy off Nath again in a shot if I needed anything else. Nic

  18. ya that helps abit, there's alink to a guide of sorts about the rpm switch conrtol and what you kinda need to do. http://www.tercelclub.com/index.php?option...7&Itemid=52
  19. Hey mate Firstly Dave Burwash was selling one before xmas, maybe you could source one from him or give him a shout him to track one down, Yes you need a variable rpm switch with to use to activate the solenoid I believe. it gets confusing to explain. I know of a thread that explains it better Give me a few minutes to find it..... As for porting, thats definitely sumthing worthdoing....... BUT I wouldn't touch an acis intake system until I felt confident, Buy a dremel and a few porting and polishing kits of the net and practice on a different intake and your chosen Throttle body when you fe

  24. Thanx lads Ya I've been looking into getting a yellow top battery alrite but they're big money so I may hold off till the end of the month (the OE battery should make it that far) when Ive to put the EP through its NCT (Irish MOT) as I need to done a few odds and ends to it first for that. On a side note I checked my toyota battery and it has a CCA of 330, this does seem kinda low when compared to the batteries I was looking in halfords.
