Fe Head Vs Fte Head?

Hi

I got a fe head for free now and wondered of using this on mye fte engine. Does anyone know for sure that there are no big differences. I see that there are different partnumbers. I think of porting the fe head myself so need the fte head in backup if it goes wrong.

I have tried to search, but nothing to find.

The difference is the valve springs are stronger on the FTE (hence the higher rev limit).

But yes you could port & polish the FE head and swap over the valve springs/cams and it should be fine.

Ok. Already ordered performance springs so that will be good. The head is from a 96 corolla.
