What Fuel Pressure To Run?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering what pressure to run a sard rrfpr at?

My current engine spec is:

Corolla inlet manifold

Decat and backbox

Hks air filter

Fitting glanza injectors soon and need to know what pressure to run it safely before the rolling road day.

Any help would be great as fitting it soon.

Thanks

Gary

Cheers,

I will be fitting it the day before the rolling road day @ hypertech, so will it be able to tell me whats ok or not there?

What is recommended to set it to just to drive it down, does anyone know?

I was only told to fit it to bring it up to meet the pressure needed to compensate for the bigger glanza injectors.

Thanks

Gary

I have a Apexi turbo timer at home, it has a air to fuel ratio function on it,

It has lights to say if its lean or rich,

Will that do to roughly set it up?

As i dont have £200 od to spend on a wideband.

Thanks

no it wont actualy dude, alot of the narrow bands highly inacurate, your only real options is to borrow a wideband, buy

or go for a fualing tune at any dyno shop,

This gauge from demon tweeks says it just uses the original lambda sensor,

I would ideally like to get it set up before i drive to the rr day, then jus get it tweeked to perfect it.

TM-Developments have a AEM wideband for £258

Is this what i need?

Got a fuel pressure gauge to go on the rrfpr, its the one from dave burwash,

It sayd on the box that it came in, for setting up only not for permant use.

Can u run it all the time or do i just have to set it up?

Also how do i connect it up as it has a threaded pit on the back and i dont have a bit to screw on i dont think.

Thanks

yeah you can keep the gauge on alot of people do and i havnt ever herd of any problems with running a gauge long term.

the gauge itself will either screw into the rrfpr or connect onto the end/middle of the line coming out of the regulator.
