G6 Gearbox

im wanting to fit a corolla g6 gearbox to my n/a starlet is this poss pleaz help people.......

Its possible one of the boys on here has a g6 gear box on his glanza problem is i dont know what the work entails.

and for a n/a starlet in my opinion its definately not worth the hassel.

Off the 1.3 G6 its a direct fit but if you get one off the 1.6?/1.8? you have to change the bell housing? something of the sort anyway......have a read of the previous topics.

thats pretty much bang on.

i think you need to change the shafts/mounts as well. although i cant remember exactly.

im only wanting to put a 1.3 g6 in because myn revs al the way to limiter in 5th lol and its piss anoyn gan long journeys sittin at 3 or 4 thou screemin its baws off and burnin fuel lyk it gan ota fashion wat work is needed for the 1.3 g6 gearbox into my starlet?????????

I remember someone did it on here, but it didnt change the amount of revs on highest gear at all just moved 6 gears in the space of the original 5 gears. More shifting, no further results.. still couldn't use the 6th as a sort of overdrive.

Changing the box will give you no real advantage over your inital setup, its only gonna give you shorter ratios in each gear, you're better off sticking with your 5 speed, you're final drive ratio won't change.
