im not shure if this is a stupid question but this is just to double check.. im putting a diferent exhaust cam in my gtt due to the other1 is broken basicly.. do i need to do anything with the shims or should it be ok?

and does anyone know the spacing between the cam and shim on each inlet and exhaust side?

Ideally any change to valvetrain, you should check valve clearances whether it be cams, valves, springs etc.

I'm not sure where to get the valve clearances from and not sure if they are the same as the 4EFE.

If the valve clearances are at least checked you will know if they need adjusted,

I can get the valve clearances from the 4efe from work but I'm at college until tonight,

If everyone says the 4e cans are the same I'm guessing the valve clearances will be the same

I'll see if anyone else knows but I'll look more into it for you

i was geting .012" on the exhasut and .006" on the inlet...

anyone no if this is ok? i no its beter than nothing as the valve will seal properly since ther is a gap so im not gona bend any valves or score the pistons..but is it to much or not enough?
