Not sure why you used the rubber reducer, I did mine like this:

90 degree silicone hose > 90 degree stainless bend (to the ID of the hose) > Filter

Fitted perfectly and held it together with jubilees. Good attempt though, maybe mine was more convenient with the filter fitting the SS bend nicely.

Also, good job on getting the right section!

Nice - how much did it cost, and notice much difference?

cost me £10 for 40mm elbow £39for the filter and the crome pipe £2.50 for the reducer plus jubily clips cheaper really considering the proper kit is £89.99 lol

Fuck it the Air cons coming out !

i wanted to do it but i been thinkin is it really worth it air con for cool air feed

Do you have working windows?

It never gets hot enough in the uk to warrant Air Con in my opinion and if its hot you open the window (or sunroof in my case!)

I'd also rather drop the weight of the pump etc as they weigh a tonne!

There's no point building a performance car then lumping around unneccessary weight!

Back on topic!

Kit looks good, doing mine after winter as I will end up killing my filter with shit from the roads if I do mine now LOL!

Quite sad really but Was going to do it last winter so got an old cone filter I had in the garage and attached it with cable ties where i'd be locating it as a test, after a week of driving the roads near me normally (country back roads) it was grafted so I thought better of it!
