nutnut
Is the td12 more powerful then the ct9 ?Will it bolt on the same flange as the ct9 ?Do you need to change anything else ?
Steve GT
yeh the td12 is way more powerful than the ct9 look in the turbo section theres a thread about it loland as far as im aware i think its like a td04 in which you do have to change the manifold etc to put it on lol
GT Phayer
its the same as a ct9 just a big hybrid
Steve GT
so no mani change or decat change needed?????
GT Phayer
not sure about the mani but it external waste gate so could modify the decate for a screamer
The_Notorious_C_A_T
Is it not covered in enzo's description of the td12?
Marck glanza V
for the td12 you need an external wastegate manifold. having a screamer on the decat wont work as there is no internal wastegate. there insnt much lag and it pulls well. i have not had my car dynoed yet but will be soonish and i will post results when i get somehave a look at my build thread if you need to see the manifold etcmarck
GT Phayer
ok mate cheers by the way proberly a very stupid question coming up lol but ....as the waste gate is welded up i take it the actuator is not needed so how is the boost adjusted ??? stupid i know
The_Notorious_C_A_T
Boost is adjusted by a boost controller, electronic or manual.Boost is limited by the external wastegate. Will need an external wastegate manifold though. And yes the actuator is not needed. As the mbc/ebc will hold the external wastegate spring shut until desired boost level is reached then it dumps the excess out the screamer.eg a external wastegate might have a 0.8bar spring, so anything above that it vents, and the boost controller will hold it shut until whatever has been set by your boost controller, then it wil dump it once that has been reached. GT Phayer
thanks mate so is an electronic one better than the manual one ?
The_Notorious_C_A_T
It is, with an electronic one you can help it spool quicker by messing with the gain settings. And you can do it from inside the car which is a big bonus!
