Sparky Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 I never ever leave any of my cars in gear and my mother always does it Gotta get into the habit of taking it out of gear first, but its easy to know when my mam has been driving the car because I cant get my bloody legs in, the seat is that far forward Hope you can get it sorted without much hassle Quote
Georgie Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 yer well with my bad luck i couldnt get insured on the car til i was 19 so im on my bfs insurance im 19 now n was literally guna switch the insurance over this week, and shes a moany old cow n wanted to go thru insurance which i was worried about as my bf's got 8 years no claims n would go bite my head off lol so think I've persuaded her to just settle it with cash Quote

Nanglebadger Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 i always leave mine in gear, especially on any kind of hill, means if the handbrake fails for any reason she shouldnt budge!i also leave it in gear in the garage with the handbrake off to prevent any unnecessary wear and tear on the handbrake cables. i guess its al down to personal habits.really sorry to hear what happened Georgie, hope u can get it fixed asap!Phil.
