Russleh Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 i know there are loads of these threads but none seem to answer it enough for me. my car smokes a bit on idle. not loads but a little bit. its white and smells like fuel but im guessin that maybe just because its basically a straight system. i doubt its the turbo seals as its a gt spec hybrid so wont be anywhere near as old as a ct9 would be and I've had an audi with knackered oil seals drive by my house and that was what i call smoke lol any help would be appreciatted. i cant take a vid but i can try take a pic of the smoke if it may help. Guest Enzo Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 what luke said,Smoke can be a few things. I'd usually start at the pcv valve. Disconnect it then take it for a long run Quote
Russleh Posted February 6, 2010 Author Posted February 6, 2010 yeh i though maybe because of the cold but its just at work how my dad and other folk i work with were laughin at it when you say disconnect it do ya mean take the pipe off and just leave them open or should i block them off ? was at toyota yesterday aswell i shoulda just got a new valve. micky boy Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 If its smell's of fuel i would'nt worry buddy mine steams when its cold so dose my dads mr2 turbo and my friends focus RS and every other turbo/naturally aspirated car lol if it starts smelling of oil then i would start with the pcv valve/turbo/valve stems Quote
Russleh Posted February 6, 2010 Author Posted February 6, 2010 dont think theres anythin major i was just worrying . no oil bein used or coolant or any noises so touching wood lol. long as nothin major wrong happens till i have my new engine build which will be a while lol Quote
