Has Anybody Got A Favourite Road?????

Hi All

I was driving on my favourite road today for the first time in ages and was wondering what roads people love to drive on. Random topic i know. Anyway mine is the A57 otherwise known as the Snake Pass from Glossop to Sheffield.

it's a 20 odd mile country road which i know extremely well. I used to go on it all the time but moved quite far away from it. It is a national speed limit road which is a favourite for car enthusiasts and bikers. If you know it well you can get some good speed but if you dont then watch it as it was voted in some mag as one of the most dangerous. Great views all year round aswell!! Go on it trust me.

Breacon Beacons about 15 miles from Cardiff for me. In ANY car. One of the best roads in the country IMHO. ;)

The B743 between Ayr and Mauchline for me -- 11mi of fun!

mines would have to be the a72 clyde side road 11miles of undulating road with not one straight, an amazing piece of tarmac,

i get to travel it twice a day most days so....

there are shitloads of boarder roads that are also on par with this

d. unless you've got a decent suspension set-up you'll not have a car for long driving down it ;)

have to agree 100% its the best road!! I've been on it a few times going to n from manchester came back on it in my ITR once and was the best driving moment of my life love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was on it again today and it was clear. Absolutely brilliant. You can hit some good speeds if you know it well like i do but i wouldn't advise it if you dont. This road is already popular so i cant keep it a secret. Sometimes you get the odd fool who doesn't realise its a national speed limit road and goes 30 for the length of it. Apart from them its usally free flowing traffic.

The road from my house to The Lake District, abosulety belter of a road, need my car lowering like my old EP though to fully enjoy it but its a good 2 hour drive and awesome scenery once you get there. A65 is the road. Peace.
