I Have No Boost But It Still Dumps ?

Alright guys, as title states the car is running,idles really funny, it drives and misfires something awful then when i go to plant the foot it just starts to judder and pop and just doesn't pull at all ! but it still dumps so it's still buildin up some pressure i presume? any advice would be ideal, the car recently had spark plugs and the dizzy changed before i bought it,so i've ordered new HT Leads but just wanting a few more opinions on the problem?

what dump valve you got on it out of interest?

and regarding the no boost. can you hear any leaks anywhere?

got a GReddy Type-S mate. what sound would i hear if there was a leak? i've checked all my silicon hoses and they seem tight,no splits or rips i can see

has it always done this since youve had it. any lights on the dash come on or anythin.

have you got a boost gauge if so whats it reading if not WHY NOT its the most important thing when youve started to tune ya car!

Had same prob about a month ago.

Make sure all your intercooler pipes are very tight

Only takes a small leak to cause a problem.

It wouldn't misfire with a leaking intercooler pipe could well be HT leads the have a tendency to fail and cause the above problem but do you have a fcd and fueling mods for running 1bar as if your hitting fuel cut as soon as you plant your foot could be the misfire/popping and no power too

yep got an hks fcd, the boost gauge and volt metre drop when I try to plant the foot. it only happened the other day there,on thursday i think, i was flying through there gees then it just juddered and i let off the accelerator as i thought i was runnin out of petrol so went to station filled up, tried to boost then started juddering !

yeah simple things first... so change the ht leads, double check your spark plugs... have you driven the car in rain recently?

also that crack in your mani might be getting worse, has it started leaking? could be a mani leak causing the engine to retard the ignition... but sounds more electrical related to me.

do the above easy steps first them move on if they dont work ;)

emm the first day i got it.. 9days ago, it was raining yes.

If it was leaking i'm guessing I would hear it like an exhaust blow ? If that's what you mean then no it's not leaking yet!

i ordered my HT leads from www.dcperformance.co.uk for £70, someone wrote feedback and said it took 2weeks for them to come! wish i paid the extra 20quid and got them within a few days !

just changed the HT Leads and still got the problem, can anyone help ?

try the spark plugs dude, make sure there not wet.

it is definitely an ignition problem? there's a guy 100% sure it's to do with vacuum but i'm not for believing him

well you muat have boost if its able to dump just doesnt sound like its got enough give left to get into proper boost. change the plugs n leads mate and see. i have found by speaking to a few mates when i have problems that the ones that say oih its definatly this are usually wrong could just be my mates though

even just take the plugs and leads out n have a look at them.

Check that the spark plugs are tight, my mate had this problem after changing the engine, and the plugs were loose.

i took my plugs out and they were black dark,and smelling of fuel ? not a good sign and i guess the car is over fueling ? but this could be because it thinks it's boostin but it isnt actually so there for the fuel is unburnt?
