Socks Posted May 4, 2010 Share Posted May 4, 2010 i dont know if im being fussy, but hey here goes...my engines spec is:jasma exhaustblitz decatTM manifoldblitz access ecuhks actuatorTT filter relocation kitHDI front mount intercoolerMM oil catch tankmagncore ht leadsirdium spark plugs g7wen the actuator arrived i ran a boost pipe thru thwe window to setup the boost to 1bar....however now ive set it up permanently in the car and ive noticed sumthing....I only get a full 1bar of boost at about 5000rpm....im at 0.7bar by 3500rpm, 0.8bar by 4000rpm....does that sound normal?does the actuator setting have anything to do with how fast it boosts? or is it just the max amount of boost?any advice on what boost at wat rpm people get would be fantastic ;) Quote Link to post Share on other sites
lukEp Posted May 4, 2010 Share Posted May 4, 2010 Well my car starts building boost strightaway I'm at 5psi by 1400rpm and 1bar by 2700-2800rpm but before I had my timing belt done my car was finding it hard to spool up quick. We found the problem was the timing was out by 1 tooth on the cam belt now I'm not saying you have the same problem but it could be something to get checked. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Socks Posted May 4, 2010 Author Share Posted May 4, 2010 had a play today n sorted it!Actuator position is the problem...it seems to get it to be at 1bar at 2800rpm, the max boost is 1.2bar....so a boost controller is needed now lol! Quote Link to post Share on other sites
