Socks Posted July 30, 2010 Share Posted July 30, 2010 hey guys...if you got hold of a set of forged pistons 2nd hand that had done 6-8000 miles...1, would it be worth putting new rings on them, while its all in bits, for piece of mind and since everything else is new...2, if i should fit new rings, are they special rings (wiesco pistons).. or just genuine toyota rings work ok on them....CheersMatt. GTnomez Posted July 30, 2010 Share Posted July 30, 2010 Its not for piece of mind mate.Its build quality, if you want it to last replace the rings as the new rings will need to bed into the new block as the old rings cant be used in the new block as they have already bed into the previous block.
