Amjad
As above, I know you have to be more careful with buying maintenance parts for Turbo charged engines, and was wondering if the Blueprint filters are any good? Thanks,Amjad
Asad
Yup if we cant get genuine toyota japan ones we use blueprint can think of 5-6 family cars and countless customer cars we have fitted them to without any problems.....everOn the note of oil I was over on tgtt reading the help thread by the owner? of opieoils awesome lad by the way and he iirc recommended 5w40 synthetic oil and said it would last 10k so no 3k service intervals for you lot unless your using a semi synthetic oil
james@cjperformance
blueprint are spot on mate, get them from jap parts on bessemer road mate, if you speak to dave down there and tell him james sent you down he will sort you out a good price too
Amjad
Thanks lads! I ordered one off Ebay before I saw your reply James lol (£5)With regards to oil I was thinking of getting some 5L 10w40 Mobil Super 2000 from Halfrauds @ £20, good price?I thought Fully synthetic oils weren't as good, and 5w is too thin for our climate/general use with mostly cold starts? ro55ifumi
Magnetec semi synthetic 10w40 an every 5000kms
Asad
Have a read of the thread on iPhone atm, I'd trust the oilman more than anyone else apparantly magnatec isn't all that and a ester based fully synthetic is the best motul and silkolene were what he reccomended in the 5w40 weight5w will offer better protection upon cold start as it's lighter than a 10w
Lukew360
Mines Blueprint There basically as good as genuine toyota.
james@cjperformance
honsestly dont think it would make a great deal of difference in which oil you use, aslong as you are prepared to change it every 3k or before you wont go wrong.
Amjad
Cool cool, I bought the Mobil 1 anyhow, I don't mind 3k service! I wouldn't be comfortable with a 10k service interval to be honest!
