the quiet achiever Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 hi i would `ve taken the earth to the engine with the positive lead . main earth to the body is then only earthiing the motor via body spot welds &metal to metal contact . these deteriorate as the vehicle ages ,can cause greif later on with dodgy earths lyle Quote

Danturbo4311 Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I earthed mine out were the rear seat belts were bolted to, (just above were yours is earthed) i very much doubt were the seat belts bolt to is gonna rust or detriorate, had it like that for 2 years now & no problems. You wanna keep the earth lead as short as possible, so I wouldnt send it back to the engine imo, & yea keep the earths that are still in the engine bay. With the positive I just used a junction box & connected the wires to that & one thick positive cable going to the battery Quote
