riko666 Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Silicone is generally not recommended for oil transfer, as its not very chemically resistance, and is far more porous than the rubber of the stock one, so over time it'll just become sodden and poop. Quote
whiteglanzav Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 just as the stock one becomes britle and snaps !! Quote
riko666 Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Precisely, its annoying, which of the two evils do you buy into >_< Quote
Steve GT Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 exactly ^^^ either way there poop lolwould it be a good idea to maybe see about a hose like the power steering ones that have special lining on the inside to stop corrosion? Quote
riko666 Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 You can get "Fluoro" Lined silicone hoses. As I found out however, it's an exorbitant cost. For a piece of silicone ;) Quote
Steve GT Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 tell me about iti wanted a small pipe about 2 inches long no more than 10mm wide and he wanted like £12 for it just cause it had special stuff inside it£12 for 2 inches. sounds like a fun night at cheshire glanzas house lmao Quote
