I would start by seeing what error code you get from doing a "Diagnostic Check" theres a how to in the MOT section of the Technical forum.

I had the same problem with mine (apart from the light) Took ages to start on cold/damp mornings and after that it was fine.

I got my HT leads changed and its been 100% fine ever since. There not that expensive either. Got all mine for less than £40

hi people, just an update on how im gettin on trying to sort this problem out! i did the diagnostic check and all it did was flash twice which means theres no error code!! which is really odd because if theres no code then surly there should be no engine managment light, I've also ordered a new temp senser plug as the wires are dodgy going into that, thats the only thing visable i can see wrong with the wireing...but im no expert, I've put a new set of plugs in also and am waiting for my coil leads. if anyone has any ideas that can help please let me no thanks ben

cheers mate ill print that out and try it tomorrow, can you or anyone recommend any starlet specialists or import specialist that can looks after my car near where i live? grantham lincolnshire. cheers ben
