iamlegend Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 just notiched today when looking on tgtt that the late spec Vs have central locking (optional extra) now i knew i had central locking since there been a fob on my keys but it does not work so didnt think anything of it, now theres a sensor on the rear view mirror for the fob to work the central locking when i put my fob right next to the sensor it works but when i try go out side and lock it does not work, here is the guide on how you get it to work well mine isnt but...http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showth...ing-procedure-*does any one have this ??any other ideas on how it works? i kno my fobs working along with the sensor just will not program to my V! ollie ryan Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 i had the same as you matewent to toyota and bought a new fob for £35 and did that programming thing and worked fine but i still had to be next to the car to unlockthen got an alarm fitted last week and can unloock it form 100metres away now Quote

DavidAshton Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 it will be the battery in the origonal fob thats poo. dont forget it will be at least 11 years old now. a new fob will work better but its only infra red and its never going to work from very far. Quote
