well just thought when i put my td04 kit on what do i do for my mot surly it wont pass with a decat and my cat wont fight to td04 flange will it? could turn boost right down but with out a cat surly ill still fail.

Take it over the water mate more chance of it passing. Unless you know a grease monkey there every year my mum brings her car to me because they just seem to make up shit to get money out of her ;) last one they did they charged her for a clutch pin ?!?!?!? what the fuck is a clutch pin???

mot wise ive got lots of mates in garages over here who would do mot but when it comes to the emistions there a pain in the ass they only do favours for people who work in garage. my mate who is training atm just got anew cat that was for another customer stuck it in his tailpipe and stuck the probe in the end of the cat lol asked if theyd do it for me and they said nah to risky

as far as am aware because mine was made after 95 it has to pass a basic cat idle test gts before 95 dont get it tho may be wrong tho

Yeh Shaun is right it still has to pass a basic cat idle test regardless of where it's from if manufactured 96>

Just get a cat do that your self, not half bad idea but you need it to be stonking hot which is why catalysts are as close to the engine as possible, for it to actually work so that where your problem lies.

will speak to mate who will be in same garage when mot gets done see how much o a pain they are mots like 9 months away just not sure if its worth keeping all ma stock mani turbo blah blah to stick on for mots just seems like alot of effort
