jon5698
The paint i bought for it needs to be baked in a oven, there is a black plastic pipe thing at the back of the rocker cover which i tried to remove because i thought it would melt if i put it in the oven. I snapped the pipe getting it out and toyota don't sell them on their own. They take the piss because it is an import, i tried to get a standard rear fog light switch from a uk ep82 starlet to replace the shit one which is on there and they wanted £35! said it was part of the electrics its a fucking switch lol

jon5698
Finally after a week of looking for this stupid valve the toyota garage have finaly managed to find it. So i can cancel the other rocker cover i ordered! Joz if you do snap yours the part number is 12204-10040 it costs about £19 which is better then the £45 i was going to pay for a second hand rocker cover. The part number for the washers which seal the top of the rocker are 90210-06013. Hope this saves anyone else who is going to do this, the ball ache it caused me. jon

Then get a flat screwdriver and gently prise it off.
Jozinobi
Im not worried about getting the rocker itself off mate, more worried about the pcv valve as it looks delicate and easily broke. I need to transfer it onto my new rocker and dont want to buy a new valve. Thanks for your concern Joz
Idrees
Ah right i see! No probs! I just thought you was worried about the PCV valve getting damaged when you removed the cover!!P.S My research says on DOHC theres no such thing as a 'Rocker cover' its a cam cover hehe!! jon5698
Well got the pcv valve, but i still can't drive the car as for £21.50 you only get the valve and not the plastic housing it locks into. I don't know how they can sleep at night charging that much for a piece of plastic that probably cost about 1p to make. Any way the part number for the housing is 90480-18006. I have put everything back together and just need that plastic housing then i can attact the intercooler and away we go after over a week without my car.
