snails ep91 Posted January 11, 2011 Share Posted January 11, 2011 Hi guys could do with some input..I have a 96 auto 4efte in need if a rebuild. oil pump went on it and been sat for a year. now ive never done an engine rebuild, would love to learn but how much are we looking to do a full standard rebuild. i cant afford forged atm so no point considering really.also if i could get hold of 5efhe pistons id love to do a 5e build.. but again anyone know of costs, like gaskets, pumps etc. tried a search but didnt give me much.then the other option is do i just buy a secondhand 4efte, but problem is ensuring condition, where to get and also cost..help lolalso if anyone has a list of parts needed for a standard rebuild that would be soo useful cheerssam Quote Link to post Share on other sites

_shaun_ Posted January 11, 2011 Share Posted January 11, 2011 if i had the option id always rebuild my own then u no what exactly has been done and that its been done well. however if your running at td05 id prob save till u can forge td05 seems like a bit of a waste on even 1.2bar id wait save money forge it urself then get the boost right up Quote Link to post Share on other sites
