paul w
Well... went to pick up some stuff from scutcho today and i'm lucky to still have a drivable starlet!! Before i even left my village i had a kid on a moped with a death wish pull out in front of me(i'm gonna get a moped as a bonnet ornament soon) Then had a tit in a rush come down the right hand side of me,wrong side of the road, at a roundabout dunno how he didn't get hit! Then hit the backroads havin a bit of fun, as you do, had a couple of near misses with standing water big puddles! But that was nothin, came round a corner and the road was flooded! Oh poo! Followed an old dear through 6" deep water, no probs there, then it got very deep very quick!! Foot down clutch in a bit to keep the revs up,made it to a piece on the side of the road and got stuck!!!!!! Looked in the footwell 5" of skanky thames water fillin my footwells front and back! ARSE! Lost my front number plate too !! Luckily there was an everso nice chap with a landy there to pull me out! Thank christ best fiver i ever spent! Police finally turned up to close the road but not till 3 cars had got stuck with flooded engines! The copper that turned up was fit!! Lovely lil irish lass with pink wellies! She got her car stuck and flooded the engine of her panda car too!! Quite an adventure for a set of wheels and a seat!

lobotomy
Never encountered 6" fords across the road but my credo is to attack it with enough speed to create a bow wave and get through the other side without any leaks -- worked so far!
paul w
Yeah that works if nothings coming the other way! Like a lorry! If you tried that in this flood you would've killed your car very quickly! This started at 6" and at deepest went to not far off 2 foot! Bow wave that an you got a flooded engine for sure, scoop on the bonnet also scoops water in if you get a nice wave over you, trick is to dip the clutch a bit and keep the revs up to stop the water goin back up the exhaust! The back of the car lifted there was so much waterflowing down the road!
ecksjay
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!uh, cheers mate! I've got a spare carpet myself to swap in soon as mine smells a bit funky, but obviously the felt underneath is what soaks up all the shit and starts smelling, so my old man will be replacing that when he swaps the carpet (he's a trimmer).if you need the same then give me a shout mate
