Sparky
Right I have a spare Glanza box, well it came out of Glanza, so firstly is there anyway to identify whether its a C52 (GT) or C56(Glanza) gearbox? I havent had a good look of it yet.Reason I ask is my box leaks a little bit so wondering if its worth overhauling the Glanza box and fitting my TRD diff in there? It is the Glanza with the better ratios isnt it or have I got it the wrong way around?Anyway post your opinions below
hulahoops
em i think the glanza one has better gear ratio... might be wrong. i queried about a standard gearbox from a 4efe and i think it was idrees thats told me they have good ratios, think 1st, 2nd and 4th are longer, 3rd and 5th are shorter. might be wrong? but i dont think theres anyway telling them apart? but yet again i might be wrong so im help haha! sorry! Idrees
I never said anything about N/A boxes all I know is the Glanza box has shorter 3rd and 4th, so will be more suited to track imo whereas the C52 (GT) could be better for the strip.
Dan507
4efe gearbox has the shortest ratios, would it be (track wise) to have a 4efe gearbox with a glanza 5th?Would be awesome if you could
lukEp
Just go 6speed has all the ratio you need
ollie ryan
What other parts would I need to fit a 6 speed to my Glanza?

lukEp
The selector cables or you can just trim the 5 speed ones so it goes in reverse

ollie ryan
so do i use the standard starlet drive shafts, clutch and flywheel are all the sane fit aswell?cheers
lukEp
Yeh everything else is the same I have auto shaft in mine, you can use the g6r box but you'll need to change the bellhousing so easier to source a G6 (1.3 not 1.6)
ollie ryan
okay cool my mate had a g6r thats on its last legs so was going to take the gearbox of him but will look for one out of a 1.3 instead

Maz90
I had a glanza box in my old gt and to be honest didnt feel much of a difference at all.The differences in the boxes are minimal in my opinion.
Dean @RW-Developments
n/a box all day ran mine for a while was great
Sparky
I cant run an n/a box because of the different crown wheel, wouldnt be able to fit my TRD diff
lukEp
would an aftermarket Glanza/GT LSD fit my 6speed then? do you know. I'm saving up ATM to buy one.
